Diferencias entre NON, NOT y NO - Inglés

NON --> prefix:

Examples: non-negotiable, a non-alcoholic drink, non-resident.

(No --> prefijo: no negociable, una bebida no alcohólica, no residente.)

"NO + noun" can be used as "not any + noun":

Example: There are no buses = There are not any buses.

                  If we use "no" instead of "not any", we emphasise the negative.
("No + sustantivo" se puede usar como "ningún/ningunos + nombre": No hay ningún autobús. / No hay autobuses)
                    (Si usamos "no" en vez de "not any", enfatizamos la negativa.)

As a part of the subject:

Example: No results have been published.

(Como parte del sujeto: Ningún resultado ha sido publicado / No se han publicado ningún resultado")

For some expressions such as

"no problem", "no idea", "It's no good"...

(Para algunas expresiones como "sin problema", "ni idea", "No es bueno"...)

It is not graded (for quality or rank or size etc.), a fact: Not + a/an + noun:

Example: An ant is not a mammal.
                        Wrong: An ant is no mammal.

(No es graduado (por calidad o rango o tamaño, etc.), un hecho: "Not" + un/una + sustantivo: Una hormiga no es un mamífero.
                        Mal: An ant is no mammal.)

It can be graded (for quality or rank or size etc.): No + noun // Not + a/an + noun
(Puede ser graduado (por calidad o rango o tamaño, etc.): No + sustantivo // Not + un/una + sustantivo

Examples: It's no mystery that they are together now.
               It's not a mystery that they are together now.

(No es misterio que ellos estén ahora juntos.
No es un misterio que ellos estén ahora juntos.)
