RECONDITE HARMONY, Recóndita armonía.

When a photograph is taken, a specific time is preserved. This moment no longer exists in our real life, yet it has not vanished. It is now part of our memory. That is the reason why we make photographs; we cannot lose what has been lived.

The light of the sun was pouring down on this tiny butterfly revealing its existence. It was just a unique instant that I knew it was not going to be repeated anymore.  Nevertheless, that is the point of nature; a moment, a present.

The rustle of leaves intertwined with the snatches of sounds from birds creates an idyllic atmosphere to stroll along. It is London covered with leaves dyed yellow and brown. Who could resist the temptation to not take a photograph?

It was my first winter in London and, although I had already spent one year in York and other three more in Manchester, I could not get used to the cold English weather. That Saturday I was with some friends in Regent Park where I saw this lovely swam enduring that bitter morning. Then, I felt so identified that I took the camera and I shot.

One of Britain’s most impressive landscapes is The Lake District. The dramatic grandeur of the Lake District offers unparalleled opportunities for walking in virtually pristine landscapes. This shot captures a unique moment in the middle of the nature.

By that time, I found myself experimenting with new photograph techniques. This photograph is the first one of that series, the most standard one. After that, colors and movement were added. York's cathedral is dedicated to St. Peter and it is one of Britain’s architectural jewels. The building testifies to the evolution of English Gothicism.

Considered as one of the best photos, it depicts a woman taking care of a water field. It looks as if it had been already prepared for the shot. A woman dressed in traditional clothes with her face hidden is in the middle of the image concentrated on her labour. The balance between all the parts makes this picture so special.

Which is the most beautiful place for a Japanese person? Well, the answer is, without any doubt, Mt. Fujisan. This picture, taken from Moto-Hakone, depicts the lake Ashinoko, formed 3000 years ago after the volcano’s last eruption, together with a traditional red torii and the Mt. Fujisan in the background.

It was a lovely summer day when I sat in front of the sea to admire the magnificent scenery that the nature was offering me, and I could not afford to miss it. The colours were so bright that soon afterwards there were people gathered next to me watching the same. Just to be shared.

Photography is an everlasting testimony of past stories. The same as this photograph, an irrefutable evidence of why Edinburgh was called, in Scottish, “Auld Reekie”, old chimney, during Victorian times. This picture moves us to the cold winters in Edinburgh, when all the smoky chimneys of the city transformed the Scottish homes into cosy places.
